The levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) to the telecommunications company can be reduced significantly (50%+) by making the switch to renewable and intelligent energy. Savings come primarily through reduced diesel fuel use, theft prevention and reduced generator maintenance.

Environmental impact

The 150,000 off-grid telecommunications tower sites in Sub-Saharan Africa consume on average 13,000 liters of diesel per year, adding 35 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions to the environment. Shifting to clean and intelligent energy for these towers, results in 60-70% reduction in carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides and particular matter emissions.
